Where to shop in Pakistan where i am heard.
With the Covid-19 now firmly in it’s place in our world, more and more people are being pushed to makes their purchases online to stay safe.
With that scenario, we see many many small online shops springing up to the web. So far so good. The problem is lack of professionalism among these small businesses.
What do i need the most as a shopper?
Well, the first thing i need is not being ripped off. As there is very less opportunity to go outside these days and then there is a time bracket from government which strictly falls out of poor little us who have a job, all we see is ghost town everywhere on our way back home.
So we decide to finally leave our Pakistani habits of crowding the stores like zombies, and shop online. First thing that we encounter is “We have no idea about the quality of the product we are buying”.
Those of us who were too careless do know what i mean. (Don’d give me that look). OK, All i’m saying is that we know we want things good but cheap and hey, who doesn’t and we also know that we sometimes go for cheap copy options which is OK too given our financial conditions but it’s really really annoying when we order something that we know about and get the 10th copy.
Second thing is that when i order something for Let’s say my health, like some exercise equipment or some health supplements and / or some medicine which is not available in a pharmacy near me, chances are that there will be a catch almost every time. Store owners often claim the quantity that they don’t have and let me know the reality after 10 days of my Order Acceptance. I mean dude…… So there is a lots of wastage of time, Which by the way is not something very unexpected for us but with online shopping, delays are huge.
Thirds thing is customer service. Now that i have received my bottle opener even though i ordered spoon, All i want from you is an apology and exchange but mostly, customer service is hard to even find. I’m treated as if my purpose is over and they are saying to me, move on.
Fourth and probably the most scariest part is when i have a thing coming up for a loved one and i have ordered a gift from an online store. Oh that dreadful moment! They keep delaying until the very day and and i’m lucky if there is a narrow escape. yeah right, i wish….
That all being said, there are some little online stores operated by some very ordinary people like you and me and who really care about each and every customer.
